Audience
This course is designed for computer professionals within OEM accounts who are tasked with installing and configuring the Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Home Edition operating systems.

Course Completion
Upon completing this course, students will be able to:
Preinstall Windows XP Home Edition, Windows XP Professional, and applications by using the OPK.
Customize Windows Welcome for Windows XP, configure computer settings, and run the System Preparation (Sysprep) tool to prepare a computer for imaging or shipment.

Prerequisites
Before attending this course, students must have:
General knowledge of preinstalling and configuring Microsoft Windows ME, Windows 98, or Windows 2000.
General knowledge of preinstalling operating systems by using the Microsoft OEM Preinstallation Kit (OPK).
General knowledge of Windows Welcome customizations and how to use Sysprep for imaging.
General knowledge of networking concepts, including network operating systems, client/server relationships, and local area networks (LANs).
